The Western Hardwood Association (WHA) is the only association that has been dedicated for over 50 years exclusively to the development of a sustainable hardwood forest industry in the West of North America.  BC's Business Innovation Partnership is working with WHA to get the word out and invite Western Canadian hardwood manufacturers to its 53rd annual meeting in Whistler, BC.
 
The illustrious speakers at this years' meeting not only “know hardwoods” but offer the latest trends and information on the segment:
 
Mike Snow, Executive Director of the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and Grace Terpstra, on the ground lobbyist for the Hardwood Federation and an active participant in priority issues for the hardwood industry will share up-to-date legislative information.    Glenn Ahrens, from Oregon State University Extension has the hardwood harvest outlook for the Pacific Northwest, and Brian Hawrysh will address the opportunities for hardwoods in British Columbia.  Ryan Walter, former NHL player/captain, professional speaker, and co-author of the book “Simply the Best”, will share his knowledge on how to create and sustain a hungry spirit and end up on top of your game, or in this case business.
